My fist clenched against the edge of the table when he pushed a hair strand behind her ear and leaned closer, what the fuck!! Why she is not pushing him away, why the fuck she is letting him be close to her. No!!! He is going to kiss her!!! Not at all. I had enough of this shit. Their lips were about to touch when I stood up from my seat and approached them. I pushed him before giving a hard punch on his jaw. " What the heck Shiv!!!!! " I heard her offensive voice from behind. I turned to look at her!! She went closer to him again " Zain, are you okay? " " Yeah , it wasn't that hard. " My blood boiled when she touched his jaw with her delicate hands. " Stop touching him!! " I pushed him again. " Why did you hurt him, what's wrong with you? " " What the heck is wrong with you, Sara?? What are you doing with him?? " She sighed before rolling her eyes " stop meddling!! " " I am not meddling!! " " Really?? " I stayed silent, noticing all the movements on her face!! " It's meddling Mr. Shivansh, you are no one to interrupt my good time with someone I love!! " Bold of her to use word love, as if I am going let her love someone else. " Love?? " I scoffed " I remember you saying you love me, just a week back "

"Do you regret kissing me, Ishika?" His voice dropped-dark, low, and possessive enough to steal the air from my lungs. My entire body froze. Not because I didn't know the answer- But because I did. My breath hitched, sharp and aching. Regret? God. If only he knew what that kiss did to me. His grip didn't loosen. His fingers dug gently into my wrist, grounding me to him, to the heat of his body pressed against my back. I could feel every inch of him-dangerous, intoxicating, magnetic. "Ishika," he rasped again, each syllable laced with something desperate. Something real. "Do. You. Regret. It?" I should lie. Say it meant nothing. That it was a mistake. But my heart? It was screaming. Screaming for him. No. No, I didn't regret it. I couldn't. If I had, I wouldn't still feel his taste on my lips. I wouldn't still be burning from the ghost of his touch. I wouldn't still be aching for more. "We wouldn't be kissing for so long...and still not want to let go...if I regretted that," I whispered-my voice trembling, My voice trembled. "If I regretted it, Veer..." I whispered, "...I wouldn't be standing here, craving your mouth on mine again." And that's it- I felt the pull.

And as soon as we entered in the hospital, my friend Raina-who had just begun her night shift-spotted us. She rushed over, her face clouded with concern. "Who... who is he? And where did you find him? In this condition?" "Let's focus on treating him first," I replied, helping the stranger towards the public ward. A while later, after Raina and I had cleaned his wound and dressed it, he seemed a little better. His breathing had steadied, but he still winced when he moved. "How do you feel now?" I asked. "I... I'm fine. Thank you for helping me," he said, his hand instinctively grazing his injured shoulder as if trying to mask his pain. "Who are you? And how did you get hurt?" I questioned, my voice laced with curiosity. For a moment, he said nothing. His gaze lingered on me, unreadable. And then, with a faint smirk, he finally spoke. "𝘈𝘥𝘪𝘵. 𝘔𝘺 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘈𝘥𝘪𝘵. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴?" "𝘔𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘪," I answered, hesitating for a fraction of a second. Just then, from the small television mounted on the ward's wall, a breaking news headline caught my attention: "A major update from Delhi! Reports suggest that ever since Anugrah Mehra appointed him as the heir to his political party, he has been missing from home. What happens when two people with similar yet different personalities meet? Aryan is the kind of presence that lights up a room, effortlessly charming, quick with a joke, and someone who wears love like a favorite hoodie, unashamed and warm. Ayushi, in contrast, is quiet grace, measured, introspective, and someone who tucks her emotions away as neatly as the pages of her well-loved books. They are not opposites, nor are they reflections of each other. They exist in a delicate in-between, similar enough to understand, different enough to surprise. And perhaps that is where the magic begins. Their story does not hurry. It unfolds gently through lingering glances, silly arguments, shared silences, and late-night conversations that linger long after the words run out. When their worlds begin to align, it is not through dramatic declarations or sweeping gestures. It is through soft laughter, a stolen glance, and the quiet kind of connection that tiptoes in and stays. What begins as playful banter slowly blossoms into something tender and grounding, a kind of love that does not seek attention but becomes the safest place to land.
