A book of Poems by Kaitlin Lee to try and inspire people to learn one of life's strongest lessons: A dream only gets you so far. A life living a dream puts your name among the stars. (Rated PG-13 because a few poems are more graphic then others)

Mai Yang is a senior in high school standing at a bridge ready to jump. She finds herself alone in the world and with nothing left to live for. As she waits for the rain to die down just a bit and for the night sky to darken just a shade more, M. Yang begins to tell her story to the harsh waters below. As Mai sorts through the struggles in her life with a brother who seems to have completely disappeared, parents who use her as ammo when battling the bridges of an abusive marriage, and a friend that seems to find no guilt is taking from her every joy she has ever found in the world, Mai has given up hope. Adding to the burden she has found as her life, Mai is diagnosed with severe depression and battles to keep her own life every day. And to top everything off, a mysterious new kid in town follows a chain of suicides among teenage students in the area. Her death may go unnoticed but her story will not go untold. Goodnight, M. Yang

Life has never been easy for Julianna It's not easy being the only plain one in the family with two popular siblings It's not easy being the glasses and braces bearing nerd It's not easy being socially awkward And most of all, it's not easy having a crush on school heart-throb Aidan Owen, especially when he is dating her next door neighbour, the she-devil Whiteney Donnelly. From junior high to now, Aidan is the reason that everything is bearable to Julie, even though he barely notice her existence. That is, until the day she overheard their conversation. She decided it's time to change, but will this change bring good, or bad?

Lillian Danau wouldn't consider herself a man-eater, but who would? She just gets bored easily. So when Jace Dempsey seems to hold her attention for more than a few months, everyone is surprised, including herself. When she does dump him, she finds herself recognizing a side of herself she didn't notice before. A side she wishes wasn't there. Kaydence Cranfrom was excited to start an internship at her father's newspaper. Excited, that is, until she finds herself stuck doing filler peices with the rest of the interns. This is why when she's assigned to interview the guy who refuses to move from the corner of Lincoln and Summer, she's determined to get nothing out of it. After a series of interviews, however, she produces a string of articles that are more revealing, to her, than the biggest dish on any politician. Loosely based on the song The Man Who Can't Be Moved by The Script, A Tale of Two Girls is a story of two simultaneous self discoveries that necessitate change. I welcome all constructive criticisms and comments! I'd really like the feedback so I can improve as I write this story.
