Light Yagami, a bored genius, finds a special notebook called the Death Note. After witnessing it's powers, Light decides to use it to kill criminals and become the new God of the new world. He was given the name Kira, the savior. But will he only kill criminals? However the great detective L and the task force are on the case to catch Kira. As the case becomes more dangerous and more out of hand, Ryuk the shinigami finds it all amusing. A Fallen Angel named Freya, continues to do her duties and warns Light about the power of the Death Note.
