Heart of Darkness is a novella by Polish-British author Joseph Conrad. The story tells the tale of seaman Charlie Marlow as he recounts his journey to Africa while working for "the Company," a Belgian ivory trading firm.

Kristen Cortland has an enemy, and his name is Carter Morrison. He's your typical athletic hottie star quarterback of the football team, but he's also a raging jerk, yet everyone loves him, and Kristen just doesn't see it. Oh yeah, Carter just so happens to be Kristen's older brother Brendan's best friend. Funny how it works out like that, right? What happens when Kristen sees a whole different side of Carter she didn't know existed? Does she regret calling him a jerk?
