During a time of peace, long after The Fall, an Ancient storyteller known only as Grandmother, passes on the history of the Dawn Ages. Around the village hearth, Grandmother tells the tale of Zuri, The fractured Goddess of Creation. In the adventure of several lifetimes, Zuri walks among her mortal Seed Children to experience the wonders of her planet and search for her contemptuous sister, The Elements. When she learns how to create new life without her sister, she abandons her search in favor of a peaceful existence, free of The Elements' haughty distain. But, after centuries of peace, grim news arrives. The Elements has begun to wake in a land far across the sea and wrought unthinkable death and destruction as a result. Zuri must leave all she holds dear and confront the vain and prideful goddess, The Elements, but will she have the strength to contain her sister's wrath in order to save her planet and every living thing that calls it home?

After her car breaks down on a lonely, forestry road, Amber finds herself stranded nearly one-hundred miles from home in the wake of a suspected coronal mass ejection. With nothing but her hikers pack, antique film camera, and a gift shop journal to record the bizarre goings on, she is going to attempt to make it home on foot. But something ancient and sinister has awoken to stalk the shadows, effectively trapping her in a remote, mountain convenience store, and it is poised to upend civilization forever. Even as Amber struggles to scrape together a life on her own, her family and friends are also fighting to survive the dark plague that is sweeping across the land. Will they survive The Fall? *** This story is a full length (around 150k words), atmospheric novel that is overflowing with slow, creeping dread and high stakes tension. It walks between (and through) several genres but I would call it: Post Apocalyptic Survival Horror with Dark fantasy and Romantic Suspense elements. There is no actual graphic smut on the page but it does walk the edge. Because of the darker themes, please see the content warnings in the Author's Note section before reading.
