1st book of Cursed series in continuation of Shivanya series "You should stop staring at me like I'm some monster," Dhruv said coldly. Taara replied looking into his eyes "Then stop behaving like one, Rawal sa (prince) " For the first time in years... he laughed. But Dhruv didn't fall for her because she was soft. He fell because she walked straight into his darkness without trembling. "I ruin everything I touch," he warned her while caressing her cheeks Taara looked him straight in the eyes. "Then maybe I was born to survive ruin. " What Taara didn't know was - Dhruv had already decided something terrifying. He believed she was the only one who could break his curse. And he was willing to destroy the entire kingdom to keep her beside him. They called him the shadow of the kingdom. A person who doesn't have any identity of his own. Who lives under shadow of someone else. Prince Dhruv - the second prince of mahawargarh. A widower. Most intelligent and interested only in politics . A feared warrior. And the father of a five-year-old daughter who barely smiled anymore. People whispered that something inside him had died the night his wife did. But no one knew his real secret. No one knew the prince locked himself behind closed doors every night, drowning in dangerous addictions to silence the demons in his head. No one knew his hands trembled from withdrawal before battles. No one knew he believed he was cursed. And then came Taara. A maid who was too fearless for her own good. Too confident to lower her eyes. Too brave to fear a broken prince. She was just a maid working in his kingdom not aware of the fact...that she is going to be the curse breaker for him. " I am not innocent at all my little moon " he replied while moving towards her with slow steps " I am cursed " he smirked. Highy mature content

The wedding mandap is filled with music, rituals, and whispered pride... until the groom arrives expecting to marry the younger sister. But the bride waiting for him is the elder one. A single misunderstanding turns celebration into chaos. Humiliated and enraged, the groom lashes out in front of everyone-his words cutting deeper than any blade. He calls her an unwanted burden, an uneducated girl forced upon him by his family. But she refuses to bow. In a moment that silences the entire gathering, she slaps him. Not out of anger-but dignity. Not out of rebellion-but self-respect. With her heart in pieces, she turns to the only family she has ever known-her grandparents. The ones who raised her... but never truly claimed her as their own. Was she always just a responsibility? A compromise? As she prepares to walk away from the wedding-and everything tied to it-her grandmother makes a decision that shocks everyone. If this groom refuses her granddaughter... Then another will take his place. Bound by an old South Indian tradition, where a niece may marry her maternal uncle, her grandmother turns to her own son-the man the girl trusts the most. And asks him to marry her. What begins as humiliation turns into an unexpected marriage. What begins as duty becomes a shared destiny. But can a relationship born out of pride, pain, and tradition ever turn into love? Or will the scars of that day forever stand between them? One mistake. One slap. One unexpected groom. And a marriage that neither of them ever chose... but must now live.
