Halo Evans is overwhelmed with the insecurities surrounding her magical abilities, the struggles of rejoining society, and her growing concerns for those she loves. The fate of the ones involved and their little time only adds to the mysteries surrounding the universes and their rings.

Interitus have been destroying universes for thousands of years, defying the Venenarius who seem powerless against them. Due to the Interitus, Kenneth Jace Davis is overwhelmed with the new knowledge that there are magical people and thousands of universes. When a nervous but talkative girl aspires to be his friend, Kenneth must balance his internal struggles and the well-being of his new friend. He carries the burden of never being safe from impending danger, and he and his loved ones are never secure. The questions of the Interitus' intentions and Kenneth's purpose in all this only add to the confusion of the universes and their rings.
