Lily's tired of the growing grudge that's taken over Hogwarts. She's tired of the Gryffindor-Slytherin rivalry, of the Marauders and their stupid pranks, of the blood prejudice and even of her best friend, Severus. James is tired too. He's grown sick of this game of pretend, where everyone acts as if everything's fine when it's really not. His friend group is drifting apart, his grades are plummeting and now there are all these expectations! Something needs to change this year. Whether that's for the better or the worse is yet to be determined.

James has a problem. It's a problem with an easy enough fix. All he has to do is heat up his tea with a simple heating charm. But things go in a completely different direction when Remus suggests Lily might pay more attention to him if he were to solve his problem without using magic. Of course, as the muggles say, 'Go big, or go home'. And James has certainly taken that to heart.

"Professor?" asked Hermione raising her hand. "I understand that this is a parenting class but would you please tell us what it is?"
