The highway signs call it Last Chance.
Most people just call it forgotten.
Tucked deep within the mountains of Montana, Last Chance is the kind of town where nothing ever seems to change. The coffee is always hot at the diner. The neon sign outside The Last Goose still flickers red through the night. Everybody knows everybody.
And people go missing.
When Detective Victor Curtis arrives in town after a violent incident nearly ended his career, he expects isolation, silence, and maybe a chance to disappear into routine police work. Instead, he finds blood in alleyways, abandoned mines buried beneath the mountains, and a town that treats impossible things like bad weather.
Dogs stare too long.
The woods knock back.
Something beneath Last Chance is awake.
As disappearances rise and whispers of an organization known as the Red Trees Society begin surfacing, Victor is pulled deeper into a nightmare hiding beneath the town's quiet surface. A nightmare filled with underground laboratories, unnatural creatures, ancient things older than humanity itself, and children who were never meant to see daylight.
But the deeper Victor digs, the more the town seems to recognize him.
And something in the dark remembers his name.
In Last Chance, Montana, survival isn't about escaping the unknown.
It's about surviving long enough to understand it.
