Nico felt like Icarus. Fly too close to the sun, and your wings will melt. Fly too close to the sea, your wings will grow heavy. Nico had already flown too close to the sea. He had allowed his infatuation with Percy to rule his life, his decisions, for far to many years. His wings had grown heavy, and he'd drowned. Icarus had made a mistake. He strayed too far, entranced by the kindness of the light. The dark wouldn't be as welcoming, ushering you in with no hesitancy and crossed arms. That didn't work out so well for Icarus. So, Nico would allow this filter, this light, to cover him, shroud him in kindness, and possibility, and warmth. But he would not cross further. Nico di Angelo is a normal 16 year old boy. Or so people thought. Behind closed doors, Nico is a depressed teen dealing with his abusive boyfriend Nathaniel. One day, the abuse becomes too much and Nico runs into the woods in seek of escape. What he didn't realize is, there is more creatures in the forest he's grown up near almost all his life. Will Solace is a normal 18 year old. In his world that is. Will is a werewolf. He is the heir to his father's throne. As the Alpha's son, he needs a mate in order to rule the pack and carry on the Alpha generation. But, each werewolf is linked with another person at birth. The parents have nothing to do with it. He was supposed to find his mate at age 16, but he hasn't. His wolf, Sol, has been saying he feels like the werewolf females are not his type. And when his parents allow him to meet werewolf males, he still doesn't feel any connection to any of them. When he sees a small male human brought forcefully into the pack, he suddenly feels something he hadn't felt before. A mate's connection. But, how would Will's pack react to having a human alpha?
