This story follows Anadrom, a SeaWing who has always felt out of place in her tribe, as she discovers that she holds the key to a remaining source of animus power - that of the LostWing, the ancient precursor tribe. Terrified of magic, Anadrom wants to remain as far from the legacy of the Darkstalker as possible - but unfortunately for her, a blackmailing bully has other plans, and there's a prophetic dreamvisiting princess warning her that the fate of Pyrrhia might hang in the balance.

A Feather in Crimson follows Prince Vermilion of the SkyWings-an obedient survivor in Queen Scarlet's brutal court-whose life changes after a chance encounter in the forest. There, he meets Primrose, a mysterious SkyWing with feathered wings and a past shrouded in rumors of animus magic. As secrets form under moonlight and Scarlet's eyes remain ever watchful, Vermilion and Primrose must decide how much trust-and danger-they are willing to risk in a kingdom where being different can be a death sentence.

Now that Moon has chosen Qibli instead of Winter, Winter has no one for him. Or does he? He rekindles a spark with an old friend in the Ice Kingdom. In this book, I'm adding all the little context that wasn't included in the official series. Example, in the book Darkness of Dragons on pg. 305 the Nightwing dragonet Fearless was fighting a skillful fighter with a blue freckled snout, WInter shot across spraying frostbreath on Fearless' wing. At home in the ocean she is free, an explorer, but on land, the burden of providing for her sick mother is made near impossible by the harsh quotas she must provide for the coalition. Only her friend Ginkgo lightens the load. But tyranny can only last so long. The fragile kingdom will fall eventually, and Kelibek, Ginkgo and Levi must survive the devastating fallout.
