This is my version of the Hobbit; focusing on Thorin Oakenshield, though, not Bilbo. I suppose it could be called 'The Dwarf' but that would just be a little odd. It follows the story of Thorin's journey to Erebor, starting before he heads off to a meeting of the dwarves at Iron Hill, in a human kingdom in the south; a kindom with an Elvish princess. In an odd twist of fate, she ends up on his journey. And nearly kills every single person there, deliberately. But that's all in the story. So read!

First of all, This is the Second Book of A Ruby's Shine, to understand the plot-line here, go check out A Ruby's Shine on my page :D I do no own Lord of The Ring's or The Hobbit. I never back down from a challenge, it's just not in my nature. But now, I face new challenges, things I have never dealt with before. Can I go from a lone wanderer of the wilderness to a person with a family, a steady place to live, and a future of being the queen of a great dwarf kingdom? I am not good with people, never have been, but I do not back away from a challenge. So much now weighs on me, so much I have lost, so much has changed, yet I will fight on. For The Company. For my family. For Thorin. But how will I handle being a wife, a queen, and a mother? Rated M like A Ruby's Shine, because of fighting.

This is set post-Smaug and before the dwarves resettle in the Blue Mountains. It describe the years in the life of Thorin Oakenshield between those two events. It is a story of love, lust and adversity. It is also my very first fanfiction with plot. It took me months to write it, so please; be gentle! First of all, I would like the thank my beta-reader and mentor Lady Anne, for all her help and support. Specials thanks to Lady Oakenshield who was kind enough to do a second read for mistakes and typos. Hopefully, they are all gone now! Please note, that I am NOT a Tolkien expert. I did check the Simarilion a couple of times to make sure that what I was writing made sense, but it is possible that some details might not fit in. Also of note, I took inspiration from the fanfic Clarity by Forianna and Thorinsexenshield, for my idea of Arukhel, and though I put a twist on it, I still prefered to reference it, as I did not mean to steal this idea from the author in any way.
