As middle schoolers, Percy and Annabeth were best friends. With a great connection, only a few fights, Percy and Annabeth were inseparable. But soon everything changes and Annabeth's father gets a job away from Manhattan, New York. Suddenly Annabeth is away from all her friends and especially, Percy. She spends one year in Pennsylvania. Things couldn't be harder for her. She was bullied, had minimal friends, and she missed home more than ever. Annabeth kept contact with Percy through a laptop her parents get her. After those that terrible year, she moves back to Manhattan, New York. She and Percy reunite, and things just get better and better. In their view, there was no need to say goodbye. <3 The characters belong to Rick Riordan, from Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus. Only a couple characters I have made up myself.

PERCY - He's the new guy, a bit of a trouble maker, and all the ladies love him. He plays football so he can be friends with the jocks, but actually likes to swim. He can have his choice of the girls, but a certain blonde in his friend group catches his attention. Too bad she's taken. ANNABETH - She's the most popular girl in school, goes to all the late night parties - or at least she used to - and still manages to have straight A's. Boys would do anything to get her, but she's been with Luke since Freshman year. Luke does anything and everything he can to keep her, because she's his pretty face. My gaze flickered upward, my eyes meeting his, seeking more than just words to persuade me. His familiar sea green eyes shone with sincerity and something else, something I couldn't quite place- and it took my breath away, leaving me drowning in him, grasping for anything just to keep my head above the water. "I promise," he whispered once more, and it seemed to be less of an assurance, and more of a vow, his oath to me. An oath he intended to keep. ... Waking up without any memories is a disorienting feeling. Waking up with no memories next to a really hot guy in the same situation as you, that's a decidedly worse feeling. But immediately getting attacked by some monster thing two seconds later is not even weird anymore. Just pathetic. ... I update this fanfic regularly (last updated August 7th, 2021).
