I allowed myself to look past my intuition and distrust of a certain someone and their interactions with my fiancé ... I mean ex-fiancé. I chose trust in him over distrust of her at every crossroads his choices created, and now I'm lost. Maybe breaking it down again, piece by piece will help me look at the big picture logically. Maybe then I can feel less illogical pain and find my way back to myself again. A story about a relationship breaking down because of broken boundaries and a breakdown in communication.

Three years ago, Layla Worthington escaped a life of luxury-and a husband who nearly killed her. Dean Worthington, handsome billionaire CEO, is charming to the world... but cruel and controlling behind closed doors. After one violent night left Layla on the brink of death, she ran, determined never to let him find her again. Now, she's built a quiet life in Seaford, Delaware, working as a small-town doctor and finally tasting freedom. But Dean refuses to let her go. Consumed by obsession and regret, he's tracked her down, determined to reclaim what he believes is his, no matter the cost. CONTENT WARNING: This story features a deliberately soft submissive - leaning female lead. She is not your typical "strong, independent heroine." The male lead has a history of cheating and physically abusing her and the plot follows his attempt to win her back. This is the typical romance with some familiar tropes, so if redemption arcs, flawed male leads, and trope-heavy stories aren't your thing, this book is not for you. Thanks!

COMPLETED Fiona I live a simple life. It's boring but it's mine. I'm content with my job and the story the numbers tell me. Numbers don't lie, they don't promise things they can't follow through on. They are true and steady and I was good with that. Or at least I thought I was. Then I had to go and help one drunk girl and next thing you know I'm immersed in a Sons of Anarchy episode. Nothing makes sense in this world. He says I can count on him, but I can't seem to calculate if it's worth the risk. Bash I ride, I fight and I fuck. When I'm not doing that, I'm hanging out with my club brothers, running the garage I own and keeping an eye on my annoying little sister. When she gets herself in a jam, I'm taken aback by the owl eyed girl who swooped in to rescue her. As much as I tried, I couldn't shake her from my mind. As much as I wanted her to ask me for something, she didn't need anyone's help. What do I do when the first woman to actually hold my interest hasn't looked at me twice? I need her, how do I convince her she needs me too?

Nora never wanted much. Just a steady home. Simple days. A life that held its shape. She didn't crave excitement or change. She only needed predictability. Her routines, her quiet, her small world. It was enough. She believed that if she kept everything perfectly still, the life she had built would hold. And for a long time, it did. But when the ground finally shifted under her feet, Nora didn't move with it. She froze in place, the way people do when they have no other direction to turn. Because where does a person go when they have nowhere to go? Warning: This story uses mature language and scenes. © IcecreamSundae5. All rights reserved.
