A guide to Regency England for readers of classic literature or historical fiction set in the early 19th century. England, as it was in the early 1800's, can sometimes be as confusing to a modern reader as travelling to a foreign country. Their clothes, manners, methods of transport, money and even some words they used can be unfamiliar to us today. I hope this book will grow into a helpful source of reference for any reader who is exploring the classic authors, like Jane Austen and Maria Edgeworth, or enjoying the wide range of early 19th century set historical stories found here at Wattpad.

Romero, struggling to push through the day to day life of his world: court bills, money, family, money, the past, money, his own mind, and more money. Carmen has been pushing to become a lawyer her whole life; wanting to be taken seriously in a field dominated by men is not easy though, and if putting up a front to be taken seriously is what it takes, then so be it. A certain struggle comes with feeling as though you have to act a certain way versus who you really are. Except a sensitive heart of gold can't be hidden behind a brick wall forever. Two people, walking across the same tight trope on opposite ends, trying not to fall. One going against the law and one trying to be the law. One born with a silver spoon and one suffering from the abrasions of life. Both trying to survive in worlds not made for them. Except everything in this world overlaps; bridges connecting different lives and stories. It's just a matter of realizing you're not too different from the person on the other side of that bridge. Highest ranks: #1 in poorboy #1 in latino #1 in feminism #1 in rich girl #1 in law #1 in fictional characters #2 in girlxboy #3 in teen romance #1 in first love #10 in cute #10 in academia #7 in Top 10 in U.S. ('24)

"The Riley twins were born in the spring of 1797 during a ferocious storm that battered the Salisbury Plain for three days together. Isabel entered the world with a flash of lightning, her shrieking drowned out by a grand clap of thunder. Thirteen minutes later the storm abated, clouds parted, and Miranda was handed to her father, blinking in rays of sun that poured through the window." Isabel loves the comfort of home and the company of her family and few close friends. She doesn't care for the drama of the season or dream of gothic adventures as her sister does. She is wild and carefree in her own right, mischievous if need be, and the fun she has with her sister and closest friend is enough to satisfy her fancies. If only life took pleasure in forcing adventure on those who wished for it, instead of those who did not. Miranda is a playful romantic, she looks forward to her first season with a desperation which rivals that of a starving man on his way to a feast. She can't wait to dress in beautiful gowns and dance the nights away with the height of the Ton. More than anything, she dreams of finding her prince charming and falling in love; but love is a game, and some play it far too well. What readers are saying: "What a wonderful read!! The house known as Pemberley stands in an isolated valley on the edge of the High Peak, as intriguing and inaccessible as Sleeping Beauty's briar-shrouded castle. To historian Liz Pargeter it's a mystery to be solved. How can a stately home of such importance have sunk into obscurity? What happened to the former owners - the Darcys - who disappeared from local records after the early 19th century? And why is so little known about Pemberley's current residents? Fitzwilliam Darcy, the former Master of Pemberley, has been dead for many years. When Liz walks through the door of his ancestral home, she awakens more than just his curiosity. She may also be the key to his salvation. Eternal Flame is a contemporary fairytale romance. It is a sequel to Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice", set two hundred years after the events of the original novel. A Wattpad Featured story between March 2015 and July 2017 .

Eliana is very much unlike the rest of her very spirited family. She is quiet and often finds herself fading in the background. She doesn't mind being a wallflower, but when the prince takes interest in her, she finds she doesn't quite know what to do. Torn between the burden of never being enough for such a man and her blossoming feelings, she feels more inadequate than ever. Shall Eliana find the strength within herself to finally be the woman she was always meant to be ? or shall the opinion of the ton destroy whatever esteem of herself she has left? Disclaimer: All original rights and credits of this brilliant series go to its creator, and to the creator of all those wonderful characters and books, Julia Quinn. The pictures and gifs, do not belong to me either. All added characters (such as Eliana, Veronica, Adonis, etc.) and the idea of this story belong to me.

Following the first season of Netflix's series Bridgerton; Viscount Anthony Bridgerton has vowed to marry, but not for love following the devastation of his theatrical ex lover. He has come to a realization that he must marry for status and the well being of his family considering his powerful stance. Will the broken viscount really marry with no feelings whatsoever, or will he fall head over heels for the woman of his unknowing dreams. Baroness Veronica Kingston is the diamond of the social season just how Daphne Bridgerton was the year prior. But with a scandalous past Veronica's title seems to be nothing but a shell. With pressure from her powerful Northern Baron father Grayson Kingston, Veronica is given the harsh expectation of marrying one of high status members of the peerage system. This could range anywhere from a Prince to a Duke, Viscount, and possibly an Earl or Baron if the attraction towards Veronica is not as strong as predicted by the queen. Now the only question is, can Veronica fill the shoes of all the diamonds of the social seasons like the ones before her? Or will she fail to find a suitable match? Or possibly will both the Viscount and the Baroness' problems be solved within one another A story of scandal, love, friendship, betrayal, and bloodshed. Disclaimers: - I do not own any of the characters except for the members of the kingston family and some side characters which are mostly too irrelevant to matter, everything else belongs to netflix and Julia Quinn - I am not editing this book very well as I write it so please let me know if there are typos, I am planning on going back to fix any errors once it is finished.

Despite living thirty miles from London, Anabelle Latimer knows her chances of finding a husband in their sleepy village are as thin as cook's white soup. Then she discovers a kindred spirit in Mr. Fielding, the intelligent and handsome new steward from Blackwood Hall. It was a great shame that his position in life was so below her own, for he was exactly the sort of man she would have wished to marry. Anthony Fielding, tired of being the target of the ton's marriage-minded mothers, hopes to spend a relaxing week shooting and fishing in the country. Yet upon his arrival at Blackwood Hall he discovers an estate in chaos, and a friend in desperate need of help. He is quick to offer his knowledge and expertise, unaware that his generosity will have unexpected repercussions. The Steward of Blackwell Hall is a traditional Regency romance of approximately 66,000 words.
