And probably the most chaotic and demanding experience in his life too. What's more, it was not over yet. The following March promised to bring the ultimate surprise. And it just seemed everything was on an upward trajectory. But just perhaps they both deserved this. It was time life rewarded them. But before they could even get to that, they needed to go back to the period of time just after the Battle of Hogwarts when everything in life changed yet again and a slow and arduous journey of recovery began... There was a saying: 'life only gets better when you get better' and this was so true for both of them.

This is a rewritten and expanded story based on the earlier one-shot of the same name, which has now been renamed Tide & Surf, to reduce confusion. It now includes drarry, and follows Harry's journey from the end of his relationship with Ginny to the beginning of his relationship with Draco. :-) Summary: After a lifetime of war, Harry searches for something he can't quite define. His journey takes him all the way to Northern California, to the rocky shore of the Pacific Coast, where he finds what he was searching for - if not what he expected. A story of endings and beginnings, of loss and letting go and moving on. Of the pull of gentle hope and despair, and a quiet, bone-deep strength. Of peace. Notes: An odd little story; a love letter to the place I live, and a testament to how the power of the ocean and the trees can heal the heart and soul. Told through Harry's eyes, beginning with the end of Hinny and ending with the beginning of drarry, because I love drarry nearly as much as I love where I live.

A Drarry Story and a 'soulmate' story. Set in an AU in which Minerva rescues Harry from the Dursley's after barely eight weeks there and she raises him as her own son. This is only made possible because of their ancestry and, therefore, what the past and the future means for Harry. Despite his happy childhood with Minerva, once Harry starts his schooling at Hogwarts, he seems trapped in world of trouble and constant turmoil and it seems unlikely that he'll ever find peace as year after year he faces one trauma or another until it finally escalates into a war at which he is centre. Even when the war is over, life is unsettled and messy, and never simple, especially when he 'bumps' into Draco Malfoy again. And particularly as Harry's coping with wandless magic that seems to be verging on dangerous, it is, after all, a form of accidental magic. Or is it?

A Drarry Story. Draco is struggling with living at home with his parents after the war, his only entertainment becomes winding his father up about his sexuality. He is desperate to get a job, anything, just to let him escape from the Manor. A mysterious new restaurant is opening up on the corner of Diagon Alley and Horizont Alley, it's quite the talk of the town and, in his desperation, Draco applies for the position of Maître-D. A Drarry Story. Contains strong language. No smut (though some references). Just fluff.

A Drarry story. After the War, Hermione is having problems in her relationship with Ron. Harry has embraced a new lifestyle in muggle London which she doesn't one-hundred percent approve of despite understanding her bestfriend's reasons for avoiding the obligations and expectations of the Wizarding World. When Headmistress McGonagall offers them an opportunity to return to Hogwarts to complete their eighth year, Hermione begs Harry to join her. Perhaps it is back there that they can both find what they are looking for.

Before he knew it, Harry was having to force himself not to shudder, either in pleasure or revulsion he didn't know although he was more than willing to bet that it was revulsion, as Malfoy leaned his slightly pointy chin on the top of his rapidly rising and falling shoulder and brought his mouth so close to the side his head, that Harry swore he could feel the fluttering of those surprisingly soft lips barely brushing the shell of his ear. "What's wrong, Potter?" Malfoy whispered, catching Harry off guard with how breathless and excited his voice was. "Vampire got your tongue?" And then he licked a tentative and long, fire-hot trail up the outer shell of Harry's ear with the tip of his searing wet tongue. (Or, in other words, Harry is a unique and highly rare submissive creature/being and Draco is his dominant vampire mate. Enjoy!) Entire concept of Harry Potter belongs to J.K. Rowling!

A Drarry Story. Set eleven years after the war, Professor Potter is taking a group of Hogwarts' pupils into the wilds of the Scottish Highlands as part of the Wizarding Award Scheme Programme (or W.A.S.P. for short). Harry has led this trip for the past six years; the only problem is that this time Headmistress McGonagall has insisted that he takes Professor Malfoy with him and Professor Malfoy is definitely not the outdoorsy type. A lot can happen during four days away from the safety of the school walls. 'It was going to be a dangerous and testing four days for them both to maintain their cordial front whilst being in such continuous close proximity', especially when a messy divorce and a murder are added into the mix.
