“Allison.” He murmured.
I was surprised that he still knew my name.
Then he grabbed me.
The next thing I knew his lips were on my lips.
I froze.
I’ve been waiting for this kiss my whole life and I had at least a million fantasies of it but none of them came close to this. I hesitated another second but I got carried away with the fierceness of his mouth. There was a sense of urgency that I just had to give in to.
I kissed him back and his arms began to wrap itself around my body. My hand snaked to his neck, grasping for his raven, thick mane. He held me tighter as if someone was going to take me away.
I was wrong. He was the one who had been taken away. An incredible force snatched him from me. One minute we were kissing. The next I was standing in the middle of a deserted street. Alone. Tears were cascading down my face. I ran forward, farther, hoping I’d see a glimpse of him running away. I didn’t. The farther I got, the darker the streets became.
I stopped, feeling lost. Hopelessness finally eating up at me. I sank to my knees. I screamed his name. Nothing came back. Not even an echo.
The most horrible thing happened.
I woke up.
