By then the pain in my back was too much. As I sat on the ground in the crowded hallway, I began weeping. "Get up, you little freak." Mackenzie ordered. With a final burst of searing pain, something ripped. I nearly passed out from the pain, but then I felt my back loosen, as if something had been freed. I risked a glance behind me and screamed.

I stared at the TV, my eyes unable to move or blink. I knew what I saw, the world knew. On the screen the news showed a boy falling from an airplane with a lady. On his back there was a parachute but the boy appeared to be having difficulty getting open. Then... Huge wings unfolded from his back and he and the lady glided down. My heart skipped a beat. My name is Jazmine, and this was the first time I ever saw someone else who's like me, someone who has wings. •~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~• So... yeah... This is a fanfiction I made from JLPawley's Generation Icarus. Incase you don't know, it's a story about kids who, all at or around the age of 17, develop and grow wings. They run and hide from these people call Evolutionaries(think I spelled that right. XD) and Angelist. But if you want more info, I suggest you go to her page and read for yourself! Her first book is called First Flight. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

Nico woke up in the middle of the night and went through something called The Changing. Everyone gets a different characteristic from it, and Nico gained jet-black wings. The peace that Camp Half Blood has been experiencing since the end of the second Great Prophecy won't last forever. Octavian is back, and he is determined to get his revenge... by harnessing all of the elements and therefore destroying the world. The U.S. is not helping either, as they start attacking camp. Death awaits, and he isn't helping anyone. (I do not own any of Rick Riordian's characters, books, etc.) (I do not own any of J L Pawley's characters, books, etc.) (This is my first book that I have posted on Wattpad, and constructive criticism is encouraged/ok with me) (If there are any mistakes, please tell me)
