Zelda always wanted to explore the world above. As a mermaid princess, it feels like she's always under the watchful eyes of her overprotective father. One day, she swims up above and sees a handsome Hylian prince. When Zelda tries out for the role of Juliet in the school's Romeo and Juliet, she finds that a large number of girls deign to be Juliet. But when Link, Zelda's crush, lands the role of Romeo, Zelda is stuck as a side character. Link is why so many girls -a few guys too, of course- joined the theatre club this year. But then you've got Zelda. Who is truly loyal to theatre, and just found her luck when Link joined. Although, the girls who are fighting hard for Link have gotten a little annoying, taking her role without real talent. "Everyone gets a turn to play a major role, Zelda. You are the one who earned the role, but the counselor told me I can't give another lead to you until everybody's had one."

Unpopular Zelda was a girl in the shadows. Popular Link was always leading the crowd. They were nothing alike; polar opposites. Every week Zelda's parents hold a masquerade ball to encourage her to find a husband. At one particular dance, Zelda meets someone she feels she has seen before but has trouble remembering. He comes to every masquerade, but his face is always covered. Will she figure out who this mysterious suitor is? While this is a romance type novel, nothing inappropriate is in it. Not really, right? Well, what Zelda had done was comfort the poor boy, known as Link, from a heartbreak she never experienced. But that's all she had done, she didn't expect that their relationship from strangers would turn out to be bigger than that; she never expected that the person she had met will be the start of something new emotionally and mentally.
