Monokuma is getting bored of the murderous killing games he's hosted.don't get him wrong,he loves the fact that the kids aren't afraid to kill and all,but that's the issue.it's Just murder.sure it's fun watching them all brutally end each other's pitiful lives,but it's the same thing,over and over again.he wanted to...spice it up a little. It all happened when monokuma annoced a new motive (the soulmate motive) where monokuma brang out a machine the paired you with your soulmate maki and kaito,kaede and mui,rantaro and kibo and finally kokichi and shuichi.

Monokuma was bored since no one was killing each other after Kaede's execution. So to make the game more interesting he decided to have a motive.
