My name is Y/n. I'm friends with Pigsy and Mr. Tang. I work at Pigsy's restaurant, living in the apartment above the restaurant. One day, when I took a walk through the city, a little boy came up, covered in mud. He was so small and young, and he said his name was MK. I took him back with me and adopted him as my son. I became his mother. I raised MK and he grew up to be a fine young man, always obsessed with Monkey King stories. One day, MK came back from noodle deliveries with Monkey King's staff, saying the Demon Bull King was free, and from that point and before, I caught the interest of two certain monkeys, while also discovering things about myself that I didn't know about.

You were known to be a ruthless soul in the battle field who showed not an once of mercy to whoever you would have fought. After the defeat of Lady Bone Demon you had went into hiding. After trying to fit in and create a normal life for yourself, a sketchy dealer gave you a sapphire pendent claiming that it can disguise anything as a human. Intrigued you bought it, and you've been living among humans ever since then. You met MK and his friends a while back and you guys have been inseparable ever since then, you've never told anyone your secret. Have you ever looked at something and think: 'How different everything was back in the day...' Of course, you had. The news headlines about newly discovered fossils, the little time capsules your parents helped you with as a kid, or maybe that preserved family cookbook that your great-great-great-great grandmother made. And after years and years have passed, you'd find them resurfacing again. You'd look back and think about how much everything changed since then. The technology, the beliefs, the...well, everything. Maybe you would even find yourself cringing at the amount of happy meal toys you stuffed in there. Typically, something has to be preserved very well for that to happen. Going back to the previous examples, this is no problem for fossils, or time capsules, or cookbooks. But humans don't typically resurface from the ocean, alive and well after who knows how many years. Nor do they find themselves lying on the shore of another country and live to tell the tale. But I don't write any romance books at all, so I'll try my best to put in as much romance in this book as possible. She is just like her older brother, cheerful and enthusiastic, a pure hearted soul who will risk her life for people around her, even friends and family. But she is quite oblivious when it comes to certain things and emotions from others. So what's happen if her fiery personality catches the attention of two immortal monkey demons? Will she also be seen as a coward for running away and avoiding her past of demon slaying?

Before the events of MK's journey, reader moves into the city, and works at a cafe as the baker. She keeps her powers a secret with the idea that magic does not exist, and her empathy abilities are different compared to a diagnosis. She lives a peaceful life until she encounters the Monkey King which makes her question herself throughout the story. He helps her unlock her true potential, and during their time together they gain feelings for one another. However, one of them is not being honest with themselves thus causes a rift between the two throughout the story allowing another player (Macaque) to swoop in for reader's comfort.
