Her eyes glistened as she stared into the daze of her lover's eyes. A tear drop followed the lining of her cheek and then, she spoke. "I don't know how to say it." His eyebrows furrowed in worry and concern. His tongue swiped across his bottom lip as he lifted her jaw to face him. "Tell me you love me." Her heart ached painfully. It wasn't that she didn't love him. It was that she loved him too much and that alone, that was scary. She shook her head, exhaling softly. His eyes closed, "Stop..." he opened his eyes to continue his sentence, "Stop pretending with me, baby." The wall broke and her tears began to flow. She pulled away from him and covered her saddened state. Love is beautiful but, it definitely isn't easy.
