Long before the events of the Court of Thorns and Roses, there was a lot happening in Prythian and the Continent. This is my humble take on trying to play with the idea of Amarantha's oppression of Prythian and her dystopian take on being the queen Under the Mountain. Kaela, a heiress to the throne of Fae Kingdom located far away in the desert of the Continent was sent to warn Prythian of Amarantha's intentions. The next thing she knows is that she wakes up Under the Mountain, bargained to be part of a concubine program with memories missing.

What would happen, if Cauldron didn't mated Rhys with Feyre but instead with an Illyrian girl, which he would save from the camp like his father saved his mother? This story provides you with a great deal of fluff between Rhys and Darcy. It follows somehow the plot of the original series, but it's changed as the story progresses thanks to the different protagonist as she has her own impact on the whole plot. I'm aiming to discover different sides of the characters we all know and love. How they would interact with someone that is not Feyre as Rhys' mate. How would the Prythian look like and face the challenges. The story begins with Darcy and Rhys already mated, to speed things up a little. If you want to read through their first interactions then please visit the first book of this series where I wrote just that. Characters might feel off, even though I tried to keep them as true to themselves as possible.
