Tawkami Clan, known throughout Pandora for its deep knowledge of botany, medicinal plants, and the delicate balance of the forest ecosystem. We are a people of healers, scholars, and guardians of life, not of war.
Yet many years ago, a single request changed the fate of our clan forever.
Jake Sully, Toruk Makto and leader of the Omatikaya, came to our Olo'eyktan, Tat'su, and our Tsahìk, Ka'nat, asking the Tawkami to join the war against the Sky People. Even knowing how much such a choice would cost a clan not born for battle, they accepted, for they understood that the future of Pandora depended on that fight.
Tat'su and Ka'nat had only one heir: Ikeyni, destined to become the future Olo'eykta. Though she was expecting a child, she went to war alongside her mate, the warrior Okul. Ikeyni proved herself a natural leader and a formidable fighter, leading the Tawkami into battle together with Okul.
Victory came, but at a terrible price.
Many of our young ones fell. Nearly an entire generation of warriors was lost. What remained were orphaned children, silent homes, and a wounded clan that for sixteen years carried the weight of grief and the burden of rebuilding what had been destroyed. I was born in that time of sorrow: daughter of Ikeyni and Okul, granddaughter of Tat'su, heir to a people who had bled for Pandora.
When those sixteen years had passed, the time for a new decision arrived.
Tat'su went to seek out Jake Sully. Once, it had been Jake who asked for help. Now it was Tat'su who pleaded, in the name of his people's survival. He asked for a union between the clans: that Neteyam, Jake's eldest son, be promised to his granddaughter, the daughter of Ikieyni and Okul.
This union would not be only between two young hearts, but between two destinies
