Okay so this fanfic is based of a theory. We all know Mao Mao surprises emotions and traits of himself he considers weak, but what if it was more than that? What is Mao Mao hid an entire part of himself from his friends, a part of himself that still shows the child he was, and still kind of is? What if Mao Mao even hid his very voice? Mika Whiskers was looked down upon by her family (except for her mom, who died when she was young). She was abused both verbally and emotionally in her childhood causing her to eventually run away from home. After traveling for a while, and finding herself in the legendary kingdom of Pure Heart Valley, she meets Mao Mao, the sheriff of the town and his two companions, Badgerclops and Adorabat. She tells them she is a "traveler", afraid to tell them about her childhood abuse and that she ran away from home only a few days earlier.
