🚨Spin-off of My Life's Meaning 🚨 BOOK #2 Tiana & Remo's story ============ "What do you want to do?" Geovani sighs laying on the couch with his arms behind his head 'I want to kiss her' I sign glancing in the direction of my bedroom "Go do it" 'I can't she's asleep' "Doesn't matter" 'We've never done that, I've never done that before' We've kissed each other's cheek from time to time but that's it, this would be taking the next step in our relationship and I'm not ashamed to say I'm kind of scared. "Don't care go plant a kiss to her lips and don't come back until you've done it" smirking Geovani closes his eyes mumbling. "don't kiss her other set of lips, I don't want to hear the noises from that" Staring at him in shock I backed into the center table, shaking my head I went up to my room going towards where Tiana slept.

I froze. A man was slumped against the graffiti-covered brick wall, blood blooming across his side. His white shirt was soaked through, and there was a gun just inches from his open hand. My heart slammed against my ribs. Run, Skye. You should run. But I didn't. Instead, I dropped my bag and took a cautious step closer. His head lifted. Piercing, icy blue eyes met mine, sharp even through the haze of pain. His face was all sharp edges and shadowed scruff, blood trailing from the corner of his mouth. His accent was thick and rough, like broken glass. "Leave." I shook my head slowly. "You're bleeding. Bad." "Not your concern." His voice was lethal, but he flinched hard when he tried to move. "You're gonna die out here," I whispered, kneeling beside him. My hands trembled as I pressed a napkin from my apron against his side. "I'm studying to be a nurse. Let me help." He stared at me like I was something he couldn't comprehend. A stranger. A softness he didn't trust. Then his hand, heavy and warm, clamped around my wrist-not rough, but firm. "What's your name?" he rasped. "...Skye." A beat passed. Then another. "I am Mikhail." His eyes darkened. "And you shouldn't have found me."

So how do you meet a killer, or in my case, a serial killer? You would think that I would meet him in a darkened alleyway, or perhaps on a hike through the forest as I unwillingly stumbled upon his bloody dumping grounds. That would make for an adrenaline-filled start to our story, our dance of death, but that's not how it happened at all. No, I met my killer where a lot of people meet these days. And no it wasn't on tinder or with any of those other damned dating apps. He wasn't that kind of serial killer. No, I met him at the local grocery store, I met him at my place of work. Just my luck right? Some would call it destiny, but in all honesty it was all just a throw of a dice, and a late night shift at work that needed to be filled. Warning: This twisted story is not intended for a younger audience. It will contain violence, sex, foul language, death, mind games, and so on. Stop reading if you are easily triggered by such things.
