"Still the phoenix sits upon / The world in fearsome form, / With a crown upon her head / And the beauty of a storm." Newfound World, c. 1699: A phoenix nests on the roof of a house in a small colonial town, sending ripples throughout the community. Why is the phoenix here? Is she friend or foe? Heaven-sent or hell-bent? The town will grapple with the bird's presence in heated clashes of suppositions, superstitions and science. _____ HIGHEST RANKINGS: #1 in Allegorical (July 2020) #1 in Cautionary / CautionaryTale (June 2020) #1 in Didactic (June 2020) #1 in FantasyPoetry (August 2020) #1 in Iambic (April 2022) #2 in NarrativePoem (June 2020) #2 in Postcolonial (August 2024) _____ AWARDS: πŸ₯‡ 1st place in Poetry | Autumn Awards (2020) | @GinaCharlotte πŸ₯‡ 1st place in Poetry | The Talent Awards (2020) | @TheTalentAwards πŸ₯‰ 3rd place in Poetry | Star Gazing Awards (2020) | @StarGazingAwards πŸ₯‰ 3rd place in Poetry | The Sunshine Awards (2020) | @SunshineAwards2020

It's my third story book of poetry. Love is the condition of solidarity. Love remains active, alive in the heart of a person who does not bear negetive attitude! In the fray of pure and holy relation, love demands no retribution. Love should be fair and stainless and never claims to have a free sex. Our span of life is very short. So embrace love and open the window of mind. Mind is very sensitive and touchy! Give due respect to the loveliness of love! But now we move in the opposite direction. In the name of love everything is lost! Nothing is existed!

Man is for man - this is an old slogan today. It has lost its uniqueness for the cause of self-centred mentality. Now we cannot hear the chorus songs of unity. Rather the sound of cacophony always do disturb our hearing organ by imposing acute disparity. We don't fly the flag of harmony, uncompromising corrupted selfish hands try to disconnect the rope of the flying flag to take undue advantage. Human being lacks of humane quality. Strangulation of faith is seen here and there. We are losing hope day by day. The act of deflowering is an art. The dignity of woman is mercilessly crushing under the wheel of gender inequality. Filial piety sinks into the ocean of disbelief. Every moment we do feel pangs of neglect sitting under a torn umbrella. This is my second story book of poetry after publishing Sitting Under a Torn Umbrella - with a new title and have a new outlook. Now modernization of humanity is found nakedly in every aspect of life. Divine law doesn't follow today. Rather we disobey whimsically, arrogantly, intentionally without pondering over its side effects and destructive result. Effortless effort, coreless relation do raise its ugly head like a poisonous snake. The words like filial piety, cordiality, fraternity, honesty, modesty do not get entry into our so called modern lexicon. Man's faith is being stampeded on foot, hope sinks into dispair, promise is broken, innocuous peace cut into pieces. Hanky-panky, desultory atmosphere forced us to go back to the Days of Ignorance. Hopelessly we do feel pangs of neglect sitting under a torn umbrella.

We are inhabitants of man's kingdom. It's created by the Almighty the Sublime. All are His obedient slaves! But we forget and want to forget the Divine Law. We are dare-devil in every action! No sympathetic mind, no philanthropic activity could be found. We are not duty bound. We want to have power like a king. Today hate speech is our main weapon, slandering is big sword and creating religious intolerance is modern ammunition! We cannot hear the song of conscience. Sitting under a torn umbrella we have torn to pieces our diary of love and hopelessly feeling severe pangs of neglect. Today we have crossed the Rubicon.
