There's only one victor in the game that Rue is chosen to play. And when the odds never seem to be in your favor, sometimes the only option for a sweet, tiny girl is to show that even the littlest of flowers can have thorns. This is a hunger games fanfiction. The idea of this book is not my own; for the original book, read The Hunger Games. (By Suzanne Collins).

The world surrounding us is more than it seems. The one thing everyone thinks is harmless is watching us constantly. When you walk by the gleaming metal of a skyscraper, you’re being watched. When you toss a coin into a fountain, you’re being watched. When you’re making silly faces in a spoon while eating cereal, you are still being watched. Yet, we never see it, because it’s always there… because they’re always there.

Before editing, I got the picture from DeviantART.com by create-illusions! A simple path can lead to all doom, or being saved.Saved from what, you ask? Saved from the flesh eaters, the undead, zombies if you will. Everything in my small village is controlled by the Protectors and the Guild. A strong fence is the only thing seperating them from us. But isn't that just ironic? You know, there's a thin line from being human and monster, and there's only a line of metal keeping us just like that. But just how long will that fence last? And why can't I get over my curiousity with that path? It seems to call to me like a siren to a sailor; I yearn to visit it. What if I get my wish, but it's the worst way to get it fulfilled?
