The disease lasts until the victim's feelings are reciprocated. Hanahaki can also be cured through surgical removal of the plants' roots, but this excision has the effect of removing the patient's capacity for romantic love. Will looked up from the book in disbelief. "You have got to be kidding me."

This is a Solangelo version of Beauty and the Beast but a bit more different than the actual events that occur in the story and the movie.
