Isabelle and Anya are both test subjects from a lab. One had telekinetic powers, the other has telepathic powers. After an incident at the labs, the two girls were able to escape. But in order to make sure their escape was clean, the two had to go their separate ways. At two years old, Anya was left at an orphanage doorway as she watched Isabelle walk off into the distance. Anya is five years old now and she hasn't seen Isabelle in 3 years.
