Percy just wanted to feel what it's like for a person of the opposite sex to like him. Other than his mother. He almost gave up to if he hadn't stumbled on a strange pound in the middle of the forest, and found strange females splashing around in it. The more times he spends with them the more confident he becomes and the school girls start noticing him, but now he doesn't want any of them. He wants the 'green eyed beauty' he found at the pond. Only thing is she's a mermaid. She can never leave the water, but Percy is going to change that. Even if it means killing Poseidon or worse Zeus.
