He uncrossed his legs and leaned forward in his chair. "Tell them partner, who was it?" "It was Natasha." I said unevenly. "Lie." He hissed. "It was me." "You really thought that I was the kind of guy who would leave one girlfriend and jump to another." Avinash's words felt like daggers "I felt bad for you, after the Cafeteria incident, I was just being nice to you as one human to another, and you mistook it for romantic interest." "Ha!" I couldn't take it anymore "you thought I wanted to be your girlfriend ? Don't overestimate yourself Chauhan. Girls like Dumbini want dumb boyfriends like you." I scoffed. He glared at me. "Yes it was to make you jealous." I was not going to give him what he wanted "but not because I wanted to be your girlfriend. I would never want you," I ridiculed him " to be my boyfriend. Mandy and I had a bet, that I will make you take my virginity before Christmas next year. All this was just to win that bet." Didn't see that coming, did you jock? "Well, you may not be worth being a boyfriend, but you surely are worth a good fuck." I said coolly, while my mind was in a turmoil. "And you thought I would take YOUR virginity." He replied recovering from the shock. "I would rather jerk myself, thank you." ****** Plump and clumsy Naxi is overwhelmed when she receives the letter of acceptance from the College of Espionage with a clause of non-disclosure, thus preventing her from revealing about it to her parents. As she embarks on her journey to become a spy, her path crosses with the smoldering distraction in the form of Avinash Chauhan, her college senior. She knows he is out of her league, yet she can't keep away from the chase just to win a silly bet, unaware that the pursuit would transform her into someone she would despise forever. Caught at the unexpected crossroads, Naxi Banerjee has to decide whether she is ready to become the subject of her own hatred just to win Avinash Chauhan.

[#1 ~ The Rajvansh Family] "You don't have a wife?" Adi asked innocently, his words cutting through the air, causing the entire table to fall into a stunned silence. She shot her son a glare, silently warning him to be quiet with just a look. He paused, then replied, "I don't," as his family exchanged surprised glances, clearly expecting him to snap or react harshly to the kid. "My mumma doesn't have a husband, either," the little boy continued, as though he had just solved the most difficult puzzle in the world. "I know," he responded, his usually cold demeanor softening into a surprising smile as he looked down at the child. "Then why don't you marry each other?" Adi grinned, as if it were the simplest idea in the world. The whole room filled the room with stunned silence, by his innocent proposal. 🕊️ 𝗞𝗵𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮 returns to her childhood city, seeking a fresh start after a painful divorce, determined to build a better life for her four-year-old son. "You're right", she said, sounding contemplative, "Maybe I should grow up and be more practical." "Well...you know 'Princes on white horses' are 'fairy'-tales right?" Abhi said, air-quoting again. He was feeling relieved now that she was seeing some logic. "Yeah...but...I sooo wanted it! A guy who could brave the most terrible storms to rescue me, the sparks fly when we touched each other, the fastening of heart beats when we..." "Geez Siya! I get the point. I never guessed you lived in fantasy land! So in short I am exactly opposite to what you want?", his voice dripping of offence and frustration. Siya laughed. How like Abhi to get offended by some hypothetical guy who she hypothetically thought was better than Abhi. "No not exactly! But you are my friend Abhi, there's no spark!", she added with a hand gesture. Seeing him getting seriously irked, she smiled to herself. "Oh God! Siya-" "I know it is childish Abhi...", she took a short decisive pause, "and...that's why...I am ready to do this", she finished, her grin widening. "To do what?" Abhi asked, thoroughly bemused by the variety of expressions Siya was giving. "To marry you." *** Siya and Abhi have known each other since forever, being the children of two bestfriends and having spent all their lives in the same household. They transitioned from being partners-in-crime to business partners. So what happens when Abhi's Dad asks them to get married to each other? In a country where marriages are believed to be made in heaven and are meant to last for seven-lives, will two bestfriends survive the difficult test of Marriage? Or will their life-long friendship bear the brunt of their conflicting ideas of love and relationships? Would Abhi and Siya's friendship last while they follow the age old tradition of 'Arranged Marriage'?

"Guys, my parents are stressing me out with the marriage rant. Please save me." Meera sat on the table they were sitting on while having their dinner in absolute silence. "Why don't you get married then? It would put an end to all the discussions at once." Angad glanced at her, pouring water into his and his wife's glass. "It's so hard to find someone in this generation, and I don't believe in arranged marriages." Meera almost retaliated. "Not everyone is as lucky as you two." The couple locked their eyes at the additional comment. "Arranged marriages are not that bad," Aarzoo said, placing all her olives on his plate. "Right! But then, what if I have someone settling for me because they didn't get what they want? I can't be someone's compromise." Meera shook her head at the thought. "If they didn't get what they wanted then it was never meant for them. Destiny, you know? And if you look at it this way, there are no compromises in marriage, just adjustments." Angad shrugged his shoulders as he popped one of the olives in his mouth while looking at Aarzoo. "And adjustments are not that bad if they are done for your favourite person." Aarzoo pitched in with a small smile, not without sparing her husband a glance. "And what about love? Did you guys find love?" Meera asked so casually, careless of how the other two almost skipped a beat at the same time. It's the question they have been dreading to even think about, even after three years of marriage. How would they answer her? They simply focused on the task at hand, him eating all the olives while she drank the water to gulp down the hard truth.
