Somehow, this stranger that Jonah offers a meal and bed to will turn Braylin's life toward something bigger than she could have ever predicted. Story 2 in the Beauty of God Short Story Series *This is a sequel to my other short story titled Indigo Skies! While I would love for you to read that one first, it isn't required to understand this one :)* Rebecca is free spirited by heart but restricted. Her parents, who both have strong Chinese backgrounds, are a traditional couple living in a modern society. And while Rebecca loves them, she feels like she is suffocating under their ever watchful eye. And to make matters worse, Rebecca loves God and wants to go to church even though she knows that is not something her parents would like. So she hides it all from them; going to church, reading the Bible, and especially her massive crush on one of her best friends in her youth group, Cameron Davidson. But, quickly, the pressure starts to add up and keeping so many secrets from her parents while still trying to be the perfect daughter might make her world go up in flames.
