Story 2 in the Beauty of God Short Story Series *This is a sequel to my other short story titled Indigo Skies! While I would love for you to read that one first, it isn't required to understand this one :)* Rebecca is free spirited by heart but restricted. Her parents, who both have strong Chinese backgrounds, are a traditional couple living in a modern society. And while Rebecca loves them, she feels like she is suffocating under their ever watchful eye. And to make matters worse, Rebecca loves God and wants to go to church even though she knows that is not something her parents would like. So she hides it all from them; going to church, reading the Bible, and especially her massive crush on one of her best friends in her youth group, Cameron Davidson. But, quickly, the pressure starts to add up and keeping so many secrets from her parents while still trying to be the perfect daughter might make her world go up in flames.

*4th story in Beauty of God series: While I would love for you to read the other three stories, you don't have to read them to understand this one!!* Kason loves his sister more than anyone in the world. So when her abusive boyfriend leaves her broken and pregnant, his only goal is to make sure she and the baby are okay. But it's hard when he doesn't have any control over the situation and when Kaybree is close to being unfixable. Add in ex girlfriend problems and the stress of college, and Kason's life just seems close to collapse. But then there's Sav, the kind, calm, sarcastic nurse intern that somehow makes everything slightly less stressful. Not only does she seem to be one of the only lights in Kason's life, but she also introduces him to someone that he's been hearing more and more about recently: Jesus. With everything stacking on top of each other, will the small graces like a new best friend and a Savior that might be the answer to it all be enough to keep Kason from going under? **REVIEWS** "Oh my goodness I just HAVE to say Golden Rain is definitely my favorite book on WattPad." ~ @SmileyRiley_1 "The story overall is AMARZING!!! Sixteen-year-old "model Christian" LeAnna Daniels is rooted in God's Word. She knows she's His Child. There's nothing she can't handle with His help. She knows every rule there is to know in the Bible. She knows exactly how to witness. Or so she thinks. Then her family takes in Rita, a wild, reckless fifteen-year-old who was orphaned and placed in foster care at the age of seven. Rita tests LeAnna in ways she never thought God would test her in. When Rita makes a terrible decision and pays the consequences, all LeAnna wants to do is scream at her, and she doesn't understand why. It's a lesson she never thought she would ever need. It's a lesson on how to love someone. Fifteen-year-old "juvenile delinquent" Rita MacKenzie is mad at the world. It's not hard to see why. A fire killed her parents when she was seven, she was separated from her siblings, and a lifetime of trauma and abuse follows her. Then she's sent to what the judge calls her last shot before shes shipped to juvie. And possibly her last chance at a family. No one wants a teenager, after all. She hates it. Strict parents and a foster sister who's constantly trying to shove religion down her throat might just be the last straw for her. But just as she begins to learn that their love- and God's love- has no strings attached, a terrible mistake has her questioning everything, especially God's love. It's a lesson Rita's been neglecting for years. It's a lesson on how to accept love, especially when you know you don't deserve it.

Love is a treacherous snare, luring you in with its sweet, intoxicating allure. Like a mosquito helpless against the pull of blood, you're drawn to its addictive taste. It beckons you with the irresistible force of honey to a bear, slowly draining your soul of its vitality like a bat feasting on blood. And then, its venom strikes, killing you with the deadly precision of a snake's bite. But love has set its sights on me, singling me out like a lone star in the midnight sky. Yet, I have a warning for it: I won't be toyed with or ensnared again. Love may be a game for the naive and the innocent, but I'm neither fool nor child. I'm an Oleander, guarding my heart with deadly precision. Dare to come close, and I'll strike with a poisonous kiss, protecting myself from love's toxic grasp. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Second Book In 'To Love A Godly Man ' series. This book can not be read as a stead alone. You must read To Know You first. This story does contain some vulgar words because of how the characters are designed and how they impact the story. Cover was designed by me.
