A girl with a deep past finds someone she's sure to spend the rest of her life with. However, it's not always that set in stone. This story takes on a journey of a woman who is full of extraordinary talents, and determination, her name is Artemis. Artemis, a is former high ranking official in the government. She grew up in a military family, and has always proven loyal to her sector. Her father was once in command of the D.E.W. squadron, and at a young age, she takes his place. Artemis is forced to disband her loyalty to the men she once server under, and goes on a journey to reveal the true horrors the government is hiding, and the memories she has been forced to forget. We find out her true motives, and discover she has forced herself to be independent, strong and to hide her real feelings, like her father always wanted. Along the way she uses and destroys people in order to get where she needs to be, and finds a boy who has a striking resemblance to a boy in her dreams, and feels a strong, motherly connection to him. He forces her to be patient, resilient, and overall a better person. Overall, she tries to escape her past by running to the future. But instead, she is running with her legs broken.
