Liyue was... interesting, to say the least. Its harbor, to which Childe was set to on yet another glorious (utterly ridiculous) mission by Her Majesty, the Tsaritsa, was too hot, too crowded for Childe's liking. And yet, there was something about it that made him want to stay. Perhaps it was the way the breeze faintly smelled of the ocean and fish, the way Morepesok did, or maybe it was because Liyue Harbor was simply so alive. Or maybe, just maybe, it was because those amber eyes were far too enticing to leave behind, even if they were the eyes of his enemy.

Childe takes pride in himself - why shouldn't he? He'd gotten into the highest-ranked university in all of Teyvat on a scholarship that covered half the tuition, and he was already working to pay the other half off. Sure, his days were stressful, what with the endless lectures, hours of assignments, and tiring shifts at the café he worked in, but seeing that amber-eyed man, even if it was only once a day, made it all worth it. That is, until that certain man has an unspeakable accident, and suddenly, Childe finds himself being thrust into a situation he never thought he'd be in.

Childe, Tartaglia, the Eleventh of the Fatui Harbingers, is the only Omega to ever attain the rank, with a certain condition: if he is ever defeated by an Alpha, he will become their mate. No Alpha could ever defeat him, until a certain former god swiftly crushes him. However, Zhongli refuses to mate him! Insulted, Childe decides the only thing to do is to court Zhongli as an Omega, which he is terrible at being, to reclaim his hurt pride and win this game of love once and for all. May the best player win!
