I couldn't answer her, though, I had to focus on my breathing; make sure none of them were following too close behind us, to protect Claire, and to find the others. We were approaching the end of the hall and I had to quickly arbitrate whether to go left or right. Without anymore thinking I took a sharp turn to the left to see a cutlass. I've seen her before. I stopped dead in my tracks and pulled Claire behind me. Her eyes seemed empathetic, but she was still a cutlass, she was evil, she was heartless.
