The story plays out in 1996 where Cillian is a 20 year old law student in Cork who falls for his 30 year older divorcee professor, a single woman who cannot resist this charming student of hers.

What if one of the Meilin's aunties had a daughter but didn't have the resources to take care of her so she gave her up to the foster system. This was before the Aunty sealed the panda and before she learned the gender of the baby because she wanted to give the baby a better life without knowing it's a girl.
