After she hears there was an attempted assassination on Don Corleone, she visits him in recovery. Hearing from the Corleone family after years of no communication has caused certain feelings to creep up on Nera again. Her heart is healing from the loss of her husband some years ago, and it only twists more when she comes across an old friend of hers at the Corleone estate, Michael Corleone. With the small gestures Michael makes towards Nera and the offer he made her she can't refuse, Nera goes down a path she never thought she'd take.
