A random idea (Again). Bear with me. AU. Lan Wangji, the second heir to Gusu Lan fakes his death and hides in a monastery in Moling after being poisoned by his brother's right hand man, Meng yao. Lan Wangji's spiritual powers are gone as he had to lock his meridians to prevent the spread of the Yin poison which could potentially shatter his golden core. Lan Wangji has never met Wei Wuxian or the infamous Yiling Laozu, one of the unsung heroes of the Sunshot Campaign. Everyone feared him. Lan Wangji is weary of him. Wei Wuxian likes to use to pseudonym and travel anonymously. On one of his trips a woman drugs him with an aphrodisiac without knowing that he has a yin core. Wei Wuxian needs a man full of Yang energy and have him neutralize the drugs. He selects the feeble monk Lan Zhan only to end up being each other's cure. Three months later the Yiling Laozu demands the monk Lan Zhan in chains in the Demon Subduing cave. A weary Lan Wangji arrives in Yiling to find a pregnant Wei Wuxian.

They have learnt to coexist by the principle of noninterference. As long as they do not hurt one another or the humans, they have immunity from all but their own kind. Then the Witches of Qishan decide to control the Humans of Yiling, not knowing that they are under the protection of the Werewolves of Yunmeng Jiang. Yunmeng Jiang boasts of two Alpha heirs, a powerful Clan of mighty wolves that stand as the protector of humans. When the Wens of Qishan decide to get rid of the Alphas chaos ensues. The Leader of the pack is killed and the wounded Luna retaliates, forcing the Alpha heirs to scatter. Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng stumble into Gusu Lan. They decide to pretend to be human, seeking help from the vampires. But the twin Alphas of Gusu Lan have a different idea altogether. Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji are twins, born of vampire father and a mother of unknown origin. While Lan Xichen is weaker than Lan Wangji, the latter seems to suffer from a condition of the heart, making him unable to process emotions the way other creatures are. Wei Wuxian dresses up as Jiang Yanli during her wedding to Lan Jingyi, to avoid the embarassment of a missing bride because Jiang Yanli has eloped with Jin Zixuan. Wei Wuxian, twenty years old, the Jiang adopted son gets married into the Lan family. The twist- Lan Jingyi, Lan Xichen's son, disappeared the morning of the wedding, a preplanned move to ensure that Lan Wangji, now in his forties, has to step in to marry Jiang Yanli, barely twenty five, to save the Lan family pride. Lan Wangji has been living abroad for over twenty years, for longer than Wei Wuxian's lifetime. Lan Wangji resigns himself to marry someone who was supposed to be his niece in law. But as the doors to the bridal chamber closes, he has to buckle up the courage to reveal the real reason for his bachelorhood and even before Wei Wuxian has time to remove the veil and admit to the duplicity, Lan Wangji blurts out that he is not into women.
