And the minute the professor returns she's out the door. As her journey begins, Riley meets a young boy who's labeled himself as a failure, but refuses to accept her help or convenience her with respect. They reluctantly travel together and Riley becomes aware of a name being used to refer to her: Champion, though she hasn't won any gym badges or done anything special. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Plasma reorganizes, gaining strength under corrupt Sages and officers and led by Ghetsis. The team preaches a new direction, but the same motives added to a more "direct" and violent approach. It searches for objects it's lost and powerful members who've fled; all the while planning a destructive and unstoppable endgame, eventually crossing paths with Riley. The new trainer sees Team Plasma's vile actions and builds up a hatred for it, becoming determined to stop them whenever they meet while continuing THE JOURNEY OF A CHAMPION. Years later, when she's 17, Esselle comes back to Freddy's to apply as the new security guard after Mike Schmidt, the restaurant's only security guard to survive a week. Mike warns her of the restaurant and animatronics. But Esselle ignores him and applies for the job anyway. But as she works, she gets strange hallucinations saying "Save Me" or "Save Him". Could it be her old friend Foxy trying to warn her about the dangerous animatronics. Or could it be someone else...?
