a silly little sonadow story set in the 1920s-40s that I may or may not finish. Sonic lives up in the mountains in a cabin all by himself but he soon gets a job in the city, so he moves down there for a while in a hotel. Shadow is a bar tender at the hotel. Sonic is 24 and Shadow is 22. They/them pronouns for Shadow, He/him pronouns for Sonic! :3 (Sangria is a drink by the way lmao)

One day, whilst taking a walk, Sonic comes across a letter addressed to him. A love letter. He immediately figures Amy must have some involvement in it, yet it turns out she's completely clueless! Sonic started to cough up petals. Turns out he got a disease called Hanahaki disease, which means a specific flower starts to grow in the patient's chest, slowly suffocating them. This is caused by the patient dealing with unrequited love, it happens rarely and only with true love.. Will he be able to find a solution before the time runs out or will he suffocate to death.. :;PLEASE READ:; I think my book is the only one that actually thinks deeply into the hanahaki disease. It's not just about dying 'cause of love. It's a brutal torture day by day. It intervenes into the patient's life, messing up their routines and themselves both physically and mentally, which is why it will deal with the topic depression. I hope my book will give this bad feeling through and making it able to understand the topic's darkside and how brutal hanahaki can really be. If you think about it, it's like being forced to drown from time to time.
