I hope Renoir doesn't object to my using his portrait. Short but sweet. Another poem for my lady.

During her last years my cousin Anne devoted a great deal of time to researching family history. On her death I inherited a black box file bearing the name , William Benson. William Benson was my father. I have no real recollection of him. Of course, I have family pictures inherited from my mother, but most of them are photographs of my parents, and in nearly all of them my father is wearing an army uniform. I have only one picture of us as a family group. In it my mother, father, and I appear to be sitting on the steps of a summer cottage. I am dangling on my father's knee and he seems to be looking at me with loving eyes. At least I like to think of it that way. On opening the file I discovered a battered leather wallet. Hidden away in an inner pocket I discovered several sheets of neatly folded paper that had browned with age. Written on the paper was the rough draft of a letter - a letter dated the day before I was born. Maybe my father wrote it as he awaited my delivery. Stunned by the contents of the letter, and wondering if it had ever been posted, I was inspired to research my family history. "End of the Line", is the product of that investigation.

Well folks, here is the second part of the Trilogy. Sir Guy of Gisborne is now both a farmer and a father. A new witch enters their lives, as Auriel's life hangs in the balance. The loving couple then embark on another journey to find the great wizard Merlin. They encounter many difficulties, perils and privations along the way, but their love for each other remains true. As does their sexual desire for each other, incidences of which are very frequently mentioned! Thank you in advance if you read it - please, please, leave a comment if you have time. I write in honour of the great actor Richard Armitage, who brought the character to life for me, he is now firmly ensconced in my heart, and will always be Guy for me. There could be no better inspiration. All others are a pale imitation.

These are the further adventures of Sir Guy of Gisborne, Auriel Witch of the Dawn, and their family. As in the There and Back Again Trilogy, there is romance, magic, adventures, sadness and loss, but above all there is love, love of family, and Guy and Auriel's abiding love for each other. I have introduced new characters, and lost some others. I have even inserted myself, and I expect I will be easy to spot. If you have read the Trilogy, I hope you will read this, and if you do, I thank you. My thanks to my son Neil, who continues to support me in all things technological. I write solely in honour of Richard Armitage, a fine actor, who so skilfully brought the Character of Sir Guy to life for me, that he is forever ensconced in my heart.

"Here is the first part of my short(ish) story about the wonderful Sir Guy of Gisborne. I have written it because I always felt he was a bit shortchanged by the storylines, and the ladies, in the BBC Series, and I wanted to try to redress the balance. As someone once said, "it is a poor thing, but mine own". You will find magic, time spinning, love, loss, and a large dose of naughtiness, which I hope does not offend." " Ihope you enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed writing it." "For fun, I have inserted some excerpts from some of Richard's other work, I hope you enjoy looking for them." "I write solely in honour of Richard Armitage, who brought the character to life for me, and is now firmly planted in my heart and soul. There could be no better inspiration. All others are a pale imitation."

If you loved the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's "North and South," then this sequel is for you. "Becoming Mrs. Thornton" picks up Margaret Hale's story from the moment of her engagement. We watch her adjust to life as John Thornton's wife (yay!) and Hannah Thornton's daughter-in-law (not so yay!).
