Shadows are pretty sweet as shade from the afternoon sun yet it is shadows that we fear while out on an evening run. We run away only to realise, they are part of us. Wherever we go, our shadow follows. Except when it's the night and we realise our cold lonely souls cannot find peace without seeing them for we all fear the unknown. I inherited my mother's collection of writings . This account will help me travel through those many words to piece together the story of immigration and survival after experiencing world war two , they travelled to the other side of the world to find another world.

When miners and prospectors visit the town during a yearly celebration in order to meet the government assayer, a notorious land grabber starts preparing to obtain a claim from an elderly prospector who has finally struck it rich. The sheriff and his deputy have other ideas. Bits of fun, humour, and romance sprinkle the story throughout, but in the end the plan turns ugly and dangerous.

A mismatched Space Command crew voyages to the exoplanet, Proxima B, to determine if it's habitable.
