Collection of short stories about the main characters from my books- A Heart's Desire and His Plan. It will mostly follow the three Anderson brothers, Wesley, Tommy, and Beau, when they were kids - teenagers - young adults, with a few of the other characters thrown in here and there. A lot of humor and some angst. It won't follow any set timeline; just however old they are when I write each one. Wesley was born in 1981, so most of these stories will be set in the late 90's- early 2000's. Probably also noteworthy to mention that they grew up on a farm in southeast Tennessee, so I do my best to keep the characters true to how they would be growing up in the south. Especially in that time period. If you're reading this and getting Dukes of Hazzard vibes, you're probably not far off.

Lenore had her own plans for going back home, and they did not involve Beau Anderson and his small town life. When Lenore Connolly left Nebraska to come back to her small, Tennessee hometown, she had no idea what she was getting herself into. She had one goal: to help out her mom in her bookstore for the summer, and then leave. But all her plans to move to the big city are put on hold when Beau Anderson walks into her life. Stubborn, hard-headed, and more than a little bitter, can Lenore help Beau let go of the trauma of his past so that he can begin to heal? And if she can, will she be able to leave him behind to follow through with her own plans? Or just maybe, does God have a bigger plan than she has for herself?

He's finally taking his story into his own hands when a childhood best friend re-enters his life and makes following through on his new commitments more difficult than he had thought. Anna has her own family struggles that have made her wary of any new relationships. Past hurts have seen to it that trust isn't something that comes easy. But can she trust herself to take the leap when she has a chance to change things for the better? Or will she simply continue to hide behind her carefully built walls?
