It mostly follows the real time line, but not completely (ie. concert dates/locations don't always reflect the real ones). Some of the characters are based on real people. Dude, it would be awesome to know them personally but I don't, so their role in this narrative is fictional. While the events are fictious, some elements here and there in the story are inspired by things the characters (mostly Alex and Miles) said/did in interviews or shows.

They seem to be in other stages of life, and Y/n is having conflicting feelings and thoughts about marrying a lead singer/popular musician.

Mötley Crüe, the next big thing of Rock, have just been kicked off a tour with KISS after their crazy antics go one step too far and so, they return home to their very own playground, The Sunset Strip. The 4 self proclaimed "Bad Boys of Hollywood" are renown for their wild partying both in the clubs and from their apartment 1124 N. Clark St. Upon their return and with pockets full of money, they head to their favourite place - The Whiskey A Go Go. With their new rockstar status and minor fame, the guys believe they can get any chick they want, that is until the guys land eyes on the new girl in town. Olivia 'Liv' Riley, a rebellious, British, wild child, is the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne and ex girlfriend of Van Halen's David Lee Roth. She comes to L.A. after the nasty divorce of her parents and the demise of her beloved Black Sabbath, in hopes to start her own career in music.
