Perseus Jackson; nineteen year-old who was supposedly suppose to be finishing his second year of college by now. Or not. Matter of fact, he never got to go in the first place. College never started when he was eighteen. But something DID start the year before that, alright. The end of the world. That's right. The dying cities. The riots. The crumbling of society. The undead. And all Percy could do was just at least ATTEMPT to survive the oncoming onslaughts of walkers, the limited amounts of food and water, and his insanity itself. Armed with only a handgun, skateboard, and a bronze sword named Riptide, how could he possibly even survive? A Percy Jackson AU. And despite what the title says, in this AU, Percy, nor his half-blood friends, are not demigods, but regular human beings. And I use 'regular' lightly. IMPORTANT: there are page/section breaks that are styled as [WARNING][WARNING][WARNING] instead of the ..... that you would see in other stories/pieces of writing with the intention to add more to the element of the story. It was a decision I made years ago, but now looking back and having it brought to my attention, I now understand how it can be misleading and can be incorrectly interpreted as a trigger warning. I don't think I'll go back and change it because it seems that the majority is okay with it and because this work was produced years ago, but I did want to give people a heads up!

While Hiccup is unconscious after the Red Death battle Toothless tries to wake him up. He shoots a plasma blast into his face and Hiccup breathes in the fire. A small mark forms on Hiccup's hand, a Night Fury spiraled up. Soon after he wakes up Hiccup develops some...symptoms...
