She wanted peace. He was the storm. Twenty-two-year-old Krystal "Krissy" Rhodes has her entire life perfectly mapped out. As the proud owner of Kingston's hottest upscale salon, Gloss & Glam, her formula for survival is simple: make her money, protect her crown, and guard her peace of mind at all costs. She doesn't do drama, and she definitely doesn't do badboys. Enter Malik "Killa" King. At twenty-four, Malik is the most feared and powerful Don in Jamaica. Ruling the streets from his high-security mansion in Norbrook, his name alone commands total silence. He's surrounded by loyalty, power, and women who would do anything to get his attention-but none of it matters. He doesn't want a fan; he wants a queen. A real woman with a backbone who sees the man behind the reputation. When a routine stop with Krissy's older brother brings Malik straight into her sanctuary, sparks don't just fly-they ignite a war of wills. While every other girl in Kingston trembles at his feet, Krissy looks Malik dead in the eye and tells him he's blocking her light. Malik doesn't take chat from anyone, but Krissy isn't just anyone. Now, the man who controls the entire city has a new target: the feisty salon owner who refuses to bow. Can Krissy maintain her peaceful sanctuary when Kingston's most dangerous distraction refuses to let her go? Or will she find herself completely bound to the Don? Updated weekly. I was so out of it that I didn't even notice when the stoplight switched from yellow to red. Struggling to act on my fight or flight, I have no choice but to run straight into the car in front of me. Oh fuck. Just one of those fucking days... Thankfully, the impact isn't fatal, but it's far from pretty. I exit my vehicle, ensuring to put my car in park before hopping out, the person from the car in front jumps out at the same time. A tall man begins to storm towards me, his brows furrowed as he takes long strides in my direction. Boy look cute and neat eesi... Why did we have to meet like this? "A buy yuh buy yuh license?" he screams at me with rage. Well, that's not nice. Tek back everything me just seh. "It was clearly an accident, mi did distracted" I tell him, trying to defend myself. Mi shame. The road is active around us, drivers are blowing their horns or peeping their heads through their windows to take in the scene. "Distracted? Aye lady, a who teach yuh fi drive?" he asks, a humorous yet frustrated smirk on his lips. Clearly a blind man.

"Move from in front a mi," I say. But it comes out softer. Weaker. More honest than I intended. I'd be on the first plane out of here tomorrow. Nothing that we've said in the past twenty minutes would matter once I am on that plane. We are tied to each other, and our pasts don't have to intertwine any more than they already have. He doesn't move. I step sideways. He mirrors me, like he's tethered to the same gravity. "Kymani-" "Selah" My name in his mouth feels like a dare. A part of me wants it to feel like a promise. I shake the thought. After what feels like a standoff written in the marrow between us, he finally exhales and steps back. Barely. But enough. I don't waste it. I slip from his hold, my heartbeat pounding in my throat, in my ears, in the soles of my feet as I bolt toward the door. I leave him there. Leave the house. Leave the heat still burning between us. And I run. Fast, desperate, the same way I did the first time I left this place. The same way I survived. I don't look back. Not at him. Not at the house. Not at the version of myself that's still trembling inside those walls. Not anymore.

Ivy League doesn't do heartbreak twice. The 25-year-old NICU nurse learned her lesson the hard way with her politician ex, and she's not about to fall for another smooth talker in designer sneakers. Enter Kario Kingston - 30, tatted, flashy, and fine as hell. He owns a luxury car wash, a barbershop, and a tattoo lounge. He's the center of every room he steps in. But when family cookouts, rooftop lounges, and not-so-accidental run-ins keep putting them in the same space... tension builds. And when Ivy gives him the cold shoulder, Kario decides to chase the one thing he's never had to earn before: a real woman's trust. This isn't just lust. It's a slow burn in the middle of a fast city.

She only agreed to the weekend because she needed a break from everything going wrong in her life. A house full of strangers, a world of wealth she has never known, and people she will probably never see again. Or so she thinks. Because somewhere between late night conversations and quiet moments away from the crowd, she catches the attention of a man whose last name carries influence across Jamaica. He is used to people wanting something from him, yet the one girl who does not seem interested is the one he cannot stop watching. What starts as a simple weekend escape soon turns into something far more complicated. And when two people from completely different worlds collide, the real question becomes whether fate is bringing them together or setting them up to fall apart.

She's falling for a man with blood on his hands, and doesn't even know it yet. "She taught literature. He lived war. Together, they wrote something neither expected: hope." His life filled with Danger, Mystery, Bussines, Cover ups and Rowan... Did love blossom in the most unexpected places? When they meet, something softens. But softness is dangerous in a world like his. This is not a promise of a happy ending. It is a story of wounds, of war, of trying to love through wreckage. And maybe, just maybe finding peace, even if it comes alone.. Like moth to a flame.. 18+ Highest Rankings 1st in Newwriter 1st in Niceness 1st in Caribbeanwriter 1st in Subtle 2nd in Don 4th in Jamaicanauthor 11th in Badman 2nd in Deceit 5th in gunsnroses

Ever been in the wrong place at the wrong time? Yeah... I have. Don't recommend. I'm Lue'elle, by the way, call me Lue. Elle works too, honorable mention to my 'mom' for the name. Now, for the juicier part. Giordano? Definitely not my cup of tea. Let's just say I didn't like him. At all. But life, being the cruel little joke it is, decided to throw me and him into the same orbit. As if fate, or some sadistic writer, was testing how much hell a person can handle before they snap. One night. Wrong place. Wrong time. Turns out, hating him was the easier part. Actually, whatever this is between us might just drag you straight to hell... and back. Elle. Xoxo.
