"All I wanted for my birthday was a new car or maybe a few new pairs of shoes," I shake my head as I look at the thing they call a 'gift', "But no. You brought me a human for my birthday present." My parents smile, resulting in this person to smile too. Probably because he has no idea what we are saying and has the expression of what a child makes when they learn how babies are made. Dumbfounded. "You needed a brother. Right?" My father asks, patting this guys shoulder as he flinches at the touch. Even though he's a giant and looks like he has more muscle than me. "Yes, but I meant you two lock yourselves in a room and you get in my moms hatchback!" I explain, and my mom gasps at my words. Father chuckles, shaking his head. "Not at our age. Too old." "You're never too old to have sex. Tell that to Mick Jagger." I snort, and they shake their heads. #1 guyxguy ( 2-13-18 ) ✔️ #1 exchangestudent ( 2-13-18 ) ✔️ #1 boyxboy (2-22-21) ✔️

"Why are you here by yourself?" I look, seeing a tall freak stand in front of me. He wears joggers and a nurse shirt. I see his name engraved onto his shirt, reading Nash. Dark brown skin and interesting eyes. "Is that any of your business why I'm here, you freak." I sneer, and he rubs his eye as he stands up straighter. "I only came over here because I have been volunteering here, and I noticed that you are always sitting here. By yourself - and I was curious." He tells me softly, beginning to grin at me. "Well, freak, not that it's any of your business, but I'm here with a friend." He raises his eyebrows, having the audacity to sit next to me. "Must be some friend." "She is. She is some friend that no one can ever level up to." I sneer, but he just smiles at me. He only nodded after, and I don't think he got the hint.

Husband is in prison. Raising two kids on his own. Dealing with loneliness. Dealing with his job. How much can one take? Cameron Alono Jackson was happy- fifteen years ago that is, when he was with his husband and their two kids. That is up until the police caught up to Anthony D'arell Jackson and took him away for the rest of his life over multiple murders and kidnappings. As much as Cameron relies on them, one phone call a year isn't enough. Memories aren't enough, old pictures aren't enough. There's not one night that passes where Cameron hasn't been overthinking, crying, or contemplating about his life or the thought of Anthony's life in prison. And dealing with two fifteen year old teenagers is hard. Especially when one is constantly disrespectful, has anger issues and is careless about their action and the other is at a constant risk of being taken advantage of. Through all of this, Cameron has always tried his best to remain neutral and happy- but as the days go by it's becoming more difficult to act as if he's got everything under control. It's becoming harder to put on this mask of fake happiness when he always feels like he's slowly losing himself- But, what about Anthony?

Vrishali was popularly known as the life of the party. She had a natural ability to make friends with anyone she met. Everyone adored her, and she had yet to find her perfect match amidst all the chaos of her college parties. However, she was not interested in dating anyone at the moment. She was content with being single and wanted to enjoy her college life to the fullest without any commitments holding her back. She always had this belief in the timeline in her mind. 'Meeting. . . Knowing. . . Dating. . . Live-in. . . Marriage. . .' Marriage has always been somewhere in the back of her head. She didn't believe in the concept of love at first sight or the prospect of marrying someone she hadn't lived with. She is fully committed to enjoying her college life to the fullest. However, when her grandparents invite her parents to spend the summer holidays with them in India, she reluctantly agrees to go along. To her delight, she discovers that she will have the opportunity to meet one of the country's royal families during her trip. But that's not all stored for her. When things take a 360°, she couldn't do anything except listen. Until it crashed all her beliefs in one go, they said love doesn't need to come first, then marriage. It can be the other way: first comes marriage, then comes love, filling you like slow happiness in a desert of sadness. "We meet for a reason― to fill the empty parts, to make it a little over the top, to try the filmy drama in a drama called life."
