He's only able to bend the water as ice and snow. Able to freeze water that's nearby, and create projectiles of Ice. Because of this defect, he was able to replace his missing arm with one made entirely of Ice. But it's also cause of this defect, that he deems himself as a blacksheep among waterbenders. An outcast. Little did Y/N know that he and his siblings would become a major factor to ending the 100 year war against the Fire Nation. But also...
