But that dream became a nightmare as the city was consumed with madness and nightmarish mutation. Rapture was left forgotten, to rot and rust away beneath the waves as the world above carried on. But that world too is gone now. In its place is the Gaslight District, where the last vestiges of humanity are left to rot and sin for eternity. Two cities left to rot under their own follies and two figures connecting them together. A human who is feared like a monster... and a human who was turned into a monster.

The rebuilding process is happening smoothly, with cooperation between citizens from all walks of life, between the Garmillian refugees and Terrans, and even the famous Shinkansen Maglev system is also rebuilt. However, one day, the people on the land of Japan woke up to a foreign sight. No known constellation, familiar stars, the moon, and neighboring landmass could be detected. Facing them is a planet of unknown, magic, and of possibility. Facing the crisis of transference, the people united once more, and again, the name Japan is re-recognized as a country. Her diplomatic corps is sent out on the rebuilt Japan Cosmo Navy ships, heading toward unknown lands, and contacting the nations of the new world. The politic of the new world however is a quagmire full of arrogance, hostility, and imperialism. "If diplomacy fails, then defend ourselves, we must" - proclaimed the newly appointed provisional PM of Japan, Heikuro Todo. The story of Nihonkoku Shoukan Beyond will follow Japan in the world of Space Battleship Yamato (2199/2202/2205) after their transference to the new world. This story is inspired by the original NHS and fanfics like Summoning America by DrDoritosMD. It will feature similar plots to the OG NHS by Minorou and the fanfics by other creators I have the pleasure to read. With this as my first English fanfic novel, please don't be too harsh.
